Explain the problem without exposing your finances.

BudgetBridge is maintained as an open-source project by Desmond Peris.

Report a bug or request help

Use the BudgetBridge GitHub issue tracker for general bugs and feature requests. Include the page, the action you took, what you expected, what happened, and your browser/device type.

Never post sensitive information. Do not attach bank statements, screenshots showing account details, household codes, Google tokens, OpenRouter API keys, exported backups, or transaction histories to a public issue.

Safe details to include

  • “PDF statement” or “CSV statement” without the filename
  • The visible error message with personal details removed
  • Whether the problem happened during sign-in, household setup, upload, review, sync, or budgeting
  • Browser name and approximate version
  • Whether retrying gave the same result

Data deletion or privacy request

Start with the data deletion instructions. For operational-record deletion or a privacy concern, open a GitHub issue asking for a private follow-up route without including financial details.

Security concern

For a suspected vulnerability, follow the private reporting guidance in the repository’s Security Policy instead of publishing exploit details.

What support cannot do

Support cannot provide professional financial advice, recover a forgotten Google password, retrieve an OpenRouter key, or guarantee that an unfamiliar bank statement can be parsed automatically.

BudgetBridge should always give a recovery path. If a screen traps you, that is a product bug worth reporting.
