Four steps. You can stop after any of them.

Only the first two are needed. The free AI and your bank statements are both optional, and you can come back to them whenever it suits your household.

Step 1 of 4 · needed

Sign in with Google

Your household's records live in the Head of Household's own Google Drive — not on our servers. Signing in is how Oikonomia is allowed to put them there.

  • Oikonomia asks only for your name, your email, and drive.file
  • drive.file means it can only touch files it creates, never the rest of your Drive
  • You can review the permission screen before agreeing to anything
Continue with Google Nothing is created until you agree on Google's own screen.
Step 2 of 4 · needed

Create your household, or join one

The first person creates it and becomes Head of Household. Everyone else joins with a short code, and sees the same money picture on their own phone.

Step 3 of 4 · you can skip this

Connect a free AI, if you want one

Oikonomia works fully without this. An AI connection lets you ask questions in your own words, and helps read bank statements in unfamiliar layouts.

✓ Free model routes only — a paid route is refused, not charged ✓ The key is encrypted before it is written to your Drive ✓ The AI never receives your transaction descriptions or account numbers ✓ One key per household, so no family shares another's limit
The route Oikonomia will use Nemotron Ultra 550B · free Oikonomia checks that the route ends in :free before it saves anything. If a free route is unavailable it waits or answers from your own figures — it never quietly switches to a paid one.

Step 4 of 4 · you can skip this

Bring in bank statements, if you have them

This fills in months of history at once instead of typing it. Oikonomia reads the file, checks that the opening and closing balances add up, and shows you every figure before it is used anywhere.
