Household money, in ordinary language

What money do we have, and what should we do next?

Oikonomia answers those two questions for your household. Bring in bank statements or type figures in by hand — it will tell you what must be paid, what is safe to spend, and one clear thing to do today.

What matters now The order that protects a household
  1. 1
Food, housing, power, medicine, schoolProtected before anything optional, always
  2. 2
What is due before the next money arrivesBills, and the minimum on any loan
  3. 3
A small amount kept backThen debt, savings, and only then investing
Oikonomia never shames a household for debt, a missed payment, or a hard month.
No bank linkingUpload a statement, or type figures in. Your bank password is never asked for.
No surprise chargesOnly free AI routes are accepted. A paid route is refused, not quietly used.
No false certaintyEvery figure shows where it came from, the date it was true, and whether anyone has checked it.
Four steps, and you can stop after any of them

From a pile of statements to one clear next step

You do not need to understand budgeting, build a spreadsheet, or learn any financial words first.

01

Create or join your household

One person sets it up and becomes Head of Household. Everyone else joins with a short code and sees the same picture on their own phone.

02

Add what your household already has

PDF, scanned PDF, password-protected PDF, CSV or TSV — or start by hand and come back to statements later.

03

Check the figures before trusting them

Oikonomia checks that opening plus received minus spent equals the closing balance, and stops rather than presenting a figure it cannot explain.

04

See what matters now

What is due, what is safe to spend, what is late — and the one thing worth doing today. Not a wall of charts.

Built for real households

Whether money is scarce, steady, or complicated

When money is tight

Income that changes week to week, cash that never touches a bank, several small debts, one shared phone. Oikonomia protects food, rent, medicine, school and travel to work before anything else, and never suggests cutting them first.

When life is busy

A salary, recurring bills, school fees, loan payments, insurance, and two people who both need to know where things stand. One shared picture, on every phone.

When there is more to manage

Several accounts, deposits, funds, property, and a need to see what the household is actually worth. These tools stay out of the way until they are useful.

Plain words, on purpose

Oikonomia says what it means

Instead ofNet positionit saysMoney in the bank, as the bank showed it on 3 August
Instead ofDebit outflowsit saysMoney spent
Instead ofMonthly surplusit saysChange during this period — not the same as your bank balance
Instead ofParser errorit saysWe could not confirm these figures. Here are three ways forward.

Indian households can read figures as 1,52,500 or “1.5 lakh”. Read-aloud is available for anyone who finds hearing easier than reading.

Your records stay yours

Oikonomia is not a warehouse of your financial history.

The Head of Household's own Google Drive holds the household plan, what Oikonomia remembers, the encrypted AI key, uploaded statements and reports. Our servers keep only what is needed to sign in and to track a statement being read: identity, membership, roles, file references and job progress.

You can export everything as a file, or delete all of it, at any time — without asking anyone.

Oikonomia asks Google for very little openidemailprofiledrive.file drive.file means Oikonomia can only work with files it creates, or files you explicitly pick for it. It cannot read the rest of your Drive.
You will start with an empty plan

Nothing here is a sample number. It is your household's own money, or nothing at all.
